Our history
PCI (originally, Project Control International) was founded in Brisbane by Jim and Diane Ross, in the early 90’s, primarily to focus on the commercial and structural aspects of establishing and managing major infrastructure projects in Australia.
During the late 90’s, Jim developed a very strong reputation in the market as the guru of commercial alignment, specifically in a type of project delivery model called ALLIANCING, which brings together asset owners and service suppliers to form highly integrated, commercially-aligned teams for fast-tracking, value-for-money solutions to complex projects. PCI established over 50 alliances in the following decade, mainly for public sector clients (e.g. Main Roads, Dept of Transport, Dept of Defence, etc).
Ken Lowe joined PCI, in 2005, bringing substantial international experience in leadership and cultural development, construction, and strategy - as well as a strong background in project and program management. Ken has developed PCI's coaching capability in recent years to complement our core commercial focus. PCI is now well recognised as having a highly integrated commercial and cultural advisory capability, with the capacity to address a wide variety of client needs. Today, led by Ken and Jim, PCI continues to grow and develop, offering clients tailored, flexible solutions, with offices in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, and a consulting team of twenty highly experienced professionals.
